Tim, a computer engineer by training specialised in network and internet communications. He has a free-ranging role within the company, not least in the kind of innovative ideas that led to the creation of the company itself. Before joining BallRacing Developments Ltd in 1997, he had a business baptism of fire when he and a business partner spent two yeas labouring to launch a telecommunications company, Professional Telecommunications, on the back of their idea to establish an internet network exclusively linking City companies. Endless rounds of meetings with companies and funding agencies seemed to be paying off until his partner suffered a serious health set-back, the principal cause of their company's cessation. "But I learnt an awful lot about business," said Tim. "Particularly the astonishing greed of many investors."

Married, with a 18-month-old son, Tim is ambitious to the company's progress fuelled by staff employed on the basis of merit, hard work and commitment, rather than academic qualifications or the old-boy network. "Rather unlike the City, in fact."

Tim is a keen skier and participates in motor racing wherever possible.
