Nik graduated from the University of Bath in 1997 with a honours degree in aeronautical engineering, from where he joined Ricardo Consulting Engineers, a leading provider of innovative technology, engineering services and strategic consulting to the world’s automotive industries. He worked in the design department at company offices in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, for four years – “It gave me a very, very good grounding in basic engineering principles, in production as well as prototype, which I have been able to apply to the motorsport industry” - before leaving to join BallRacing Developments Ltd on a full-time basis in 2001
Concerned by falling standards, Nik’s personal passion is to see Britain’s reputation restored in the engineering and manufacturing industries. “It has been sad to see the way in which over the years Britain’s place in the forefront of these much-neglected skills have been undermined, principally through the influences of global economics and government policies.”
At BRD, his passion is to see the company, through the example of management, cultivate an environment of mutual support, encouragement and harmony, become a radical paradigm for corporate conduct.
